|TLK-Thermo GmbH in cooperation with Technical University Braunschweig, Germany
||"Object-Oriented Modeling and Simulation of Thermal Systems" (2-day course)
Introduction to the most important features of Modelica including numerical features. With many practical exercises the participants should learn how to design and implement Modelica libraries (not only for the domain thermal science). Since 2004, TLK and TU Braunschweig update the course frequently in order to include the latest Modelica topics and to achieve high didactical quality.
"Introduction to the Modelica Library TIL 3" (1-day course)
This course is directed towards simulation and modeling specialists with basic knowledge of the Modelica programming language. Advanced Modelica and numerical topics will be taught with practical exercises using the Modelica Library TIL.
"Advanced topics on modeling and numerical simulation of systems" (1-day course)
Fundamental mathematical principles for system simulation in Modelica (or other languages) are clearly explained. The topics addressed consist of an introduction to the theory of linear differential equations, numerical solution of differential algebraic equations and handling of discontinuities in model equations. With the aid of acquired foundations, participants get a better understanding of numerical solution procedure in Modelica simulators and thus are able to systematically analyze problems which arise. Moreover, Modelica language elements like the Homotopy Operator and stream-connectors will be explained in detail.
"Advanced topics on the Modelica library TIL 3" (1-day course)
On the basis of concrete examples, systematic strategies will be acquired to make working with TIL models more efficient. Skills are taught, such as how to find reasons behind the termination of simulation calculations or unreasonably long computing time and how to solve these problems. Moreover, modeling concepts employed for TIL will be explained in more detail.
