A mini-simposium on Object Oriented Modelling is being organized at the forthcoming MATHMOD Conference, to be held in Vienna, Austria, 21-23 February 2018.

Full draft papers must be submitted online via the MATHMOD conference management system for peer review as Full Contribution, at the latest by Sept. 17, 2017, explicitly indicating the submission to the minisymposium. Prospective authors should also notify the organizers, Francesco Casella and Gianni Ferretti, the complete names, titles and affiliations of all authors and the titles of papers in advance, at the latest by Sept. 1, 2017.

Please note that the peer-review process will be organised by a member of the IPC different from the minisymposium organiser. All further rules and deadlines are the same as for regularly submitted Full Contributions.  The proceedings of the conference will be published by IFAC-PapersOnLine.

Finally, please note that contributors to minisymposia are treated in the same way as every other participant to the conference. Hence, they are expected to stick to the copyright regulations and to pay the same conference fees.

For more information, please check the conference website

Title of the Mini-Symposium: Object-oriented modelling

Description: The  field of object-oriented modelling and simulation (OOMS), based on equation-based object-oriented modeling languages and tools (EOOLT), continues its success and expanding usage all over the world primarily in engineering and natural sciences but also in some cases social science and economics.

The minisymposium on object-oriented modelling aims at collecting some new issues and results, from the classical modelling point of view, but also considering some other aspects, such as the adoption of the object-oriented approach to new problems and physical domains, to the solution of optimization problems and the design of advanced, model-based, control strategies, to the handling of very large-scale problems and to the integration of models into the Functional Mockup Interface framework.
